This year’s Point Breeze Sailboat Race will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010. All Wolfeboro area residents are invited to participate and enjoy the race, the refreshments, and the follow-on awards ceremony.

The pre-race gathering will be on the Point Breeze West Beach beginning at 12:45 PM. The skipper’s meeting will be held promptly at 1:20 PM. All boats should be in the water by 1:30 so that participants can be ready for a 2:00 PM start.

Awards will be given to “best in class” finishing times. Classes (e.g. Sunfish, Lasers, Lightnings, Capris, Hobbie Cats, etc.) will be defined for any boat design with three or more entrants. Entrants are encouraged to personally invite friends who have similar designs to build up a class group. A special award, the Allen Stevens Trophy, will be given to the best finish for a “first time” skipper.

Come join the fun of racing, learning and meeting other sailors who share your interest! This is a day to celebrate the fun of sailing. Novice through experienced skippers are welcome. Ask your friends to join you in your boat or to bring their own boat. We hope to see you at the race!
